Recommended Trill Exercises in Arabic Music on the Violin

الملخص

تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى الإضاءة على خصوصيات أداء الموسيقى العربية على آلة الكمان من خلال أخذ مهارة الزغردة (Trill) أنموذجًا باعتبارها من الزخارف الشائعة في الموسيقى العربيّة التي تحتوي على أساليب أدائية خاصّة محاولين تقنين طرق أداء تلك الأساليب ومعززين ذلك بوضع تمرينات موسيقية مقترحة بغية توضيح كيفية أداء تلك الأساليب بشكل علمي متين بما يضمن تطوير أداء الموسيقى العربية وإبراز عناصرها الأصيلة بأساليب إبداعية جديدة متأصلة، فعلى الرغم من أهمية دور آلة الكمان في أداء الموسيقى العربية حتّى باتت من الآلات الرئيسة في تشكيلة الفرق الموسيقية العربية غير أنّ المتتبع لطرائق تدريس هذه الآلة في الوطن العربي يلحظ، وبكل وضوح، مدى اعتمادها على مدارس الكمان الغربية وتقنياتها بعيدًا عن التركيز على روح الموسيقى العربية وأساليبها على الرغم مما تمتلكه هذه الموسيقى من خصوصيات وجماليات أدائية تميزها عن غيرها من الموسيقات ما أدى بدوره إلى تشبع عازفي الكمان بطابع الموسيقى الغربية وأساليبها مبتعدين بذلك عن الموسيقى العربية وخصوصياتها المليئة بالتميز والفرادة والجمال.

Abstract

The study aims to shed light on the characteristics of performing Arabic music on the violin by taking the trill skill as a model, considering it as one the common embellishments in Arabic music that contains unique performance styles. The goal is to standardize the performance techniques of those styles, accompanied by proposed musical exercises to illustrate the scientific approach to performing these styles. This ensures the development of Arabic music performance and highlights its authentic elements with rooted creative methods. Despite the significant role of the violin in Arabic music, becoming one of the principal instruments in Arab musical ensembles, it is noticeable that the teaching methods of this instrument in the Arab world heavily rely on Western violin schools and techniques. This is done at the expense of focusing on the spirit of Arabic music and its unique styles, despite the distinctive performance characteristics and aesthetics it possesses. This trend has led violinists to be saturated with the character of Western music and its styles, distancing themselves from Arabic music and its distinctive features filled with uniqueness, individuality, and beauty.
