Abstract: The present study aimed at investigating the effect of the Web ‎Quest strateg in developing critical thinking skills in literary ‎texts and sustaining its learning impact among female eleven ‎grade students. To achieve this aim, the researchers designed a ‎learning website named Anissa for literature and writers, a ‎teacher guidebook for using Web Quest strategy, and a critical ‎thinking skills test. The sample of the study consisted of (51) ‎female students. Specifically, (25) of them were assigned as an ‎experimental group which received instruction based on Web ‎Quest strategy, and the other 26 students were assigned as a ‎controlgrop which received instruction based on the ‎conventional instruction. Then, the post test of critical thinking ‎skills was conducted for both groups. After two weeks, the ‎delayed test was conducted to measure the sustained impact of ‎the treatment on the experimental grouplearning. Results ‎revealed a statistically significant difference between the mean ‎score of the control group and mean score of the experimental ‎group in the critical thinking skills test, in favor of the ‎experimental group. Moreover, results revealed no statistically ‎significant differences between mean scores of the delayed test ‎and post-test of the experimental group that measures the ‎sustained impact of learning.‎
